Our Beliefs
We affirm such distinctive Baptist principles as:
Soul Freedom
the affirmation that we can approach God without the necessity of a mediator
Bible Freedom
the affirmation that, under the leadership of Christ, the Bible guides and directs both our individual lives and our church life
Church Freedom
the affirmation that, under the Lordship of Christ, the church is autonomous (but cooperative with other Baptist and non baptist churches and organizations)
Religious Freedom
the affirmation that all persons can worship as they desire without coercion
Trinity voluntarily associates with the Bell Baptist Association, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Texas, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in the achievement of global missions and ministries. We participate in local ecumenical services sponsored by the Harker Heights Ministerial Alliance.
We emphasize community at Trinity and continue to add opportunities to meet the needs of every member. We have a place for you, be it singing in the choir, working with our youth, learning in a Bible study group, or teaching children, youth, or adults. One thought that has guided Trinity is that we accept you where you are and seek to help you become what God wants you to be. Trinity is committed to lay leadership and involvement. This is reflected in our covenant with each other.
We believe that salvation in Jesus Christ includes a call to minister to people.
We believe that God has given to all His children gifts of grace that can be developed and used in ministry.
We believe that the Holy Spirit of God is our companion in ministry, enabling us to serve Jesus Christ to our fullest potential.
Therefore:
We seek to discover, develop, and use together our God-given gifts in ministry.
We engage ourselves in a mutual sharing of faith, hope and love as the family of God.
We sit, talk, listen, learn, and work together as we seek to build up the body of Christ.
We are honest and open with one another in our efforts to improve and expand our ministry.
We gratefully acknowledge God's enabling presence in our midst as we share and work together to bring persons to God through Jesus Christ.
